What do you do
at Main Street?
I am in charge of maintaining the facility and grounds. I am
also leader of the Trustees meetings.
What is your
background?
I was born and raised in Gallipolis, Ohio. I lived there until
I was 17 years old when my mother moved us to Bracken County,
Kentucky. I graduated from Bracken County High School in 1980.
I attended vocational school for a degree in Auto Mechanics. I
worked in Maysville for 10 years. When I was 32, I went back to
Northern Kentucky State to obtain a degree in Diesel Technology.
I spent the next 10 years working on dump trucks and semi's
then returned to my first love of working on cars at various
dealerships. In 2002, my doctor advised that I get out of the
mechanics business for health reasons. In the fall of that
year, I was hired as the Facilities Manager at Plum Creek
Christian Church which began a new career path for me.
Tell me about
your family.
I'm married to my wife Lisa. I have a daughter, Laura, who is
25 and lives in Maysville. I have a son, Andrue, who will be 18
this summer. I was adopted so I have two families. I have 11
brothers and sisters some of whom live here locally while the
rest of them live in Michigan. My biological parents live in
Michigan and my adopted mother lives in Ludlow. My adopted
father passed in 1997. I'm also very close to my wife's family.
What do you love
best about Main Street?
I would say that it would be the people, as I get to know more
of them I find the love, friendship, and caring that makes this
place fill like my Main Street back home.
