What do you do at Main Street?
I serve as the Administrative Assistant, mostly working alongside the Senior Pastor and Minister of Administration.

What is your background?
I am a high school graduate of Newport High School and have served on staff at Main Street for 29 years with plans for retirement in July, 2008.

Tell me about your family,
Jim (Whitey) and I celebrated 40 years of marriage on July 15th. My daughter, Traci is married to Marvin Haigis and I have 3 precious grandchildren, Collin, age 9 and Kayla, 1 1/2 years old and Karli, 8 months old.

What do you love best about Main Street?
The wonderful people who have become our “family”. I also love being part of a church that is about “change” and their willingness to offer opportunities through each ministry to people of all ages and walks of life – from birth through senior saints.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to spend time with my wonderful family--Whitey and I like to take walks and hike when time is available but one of my greatest joys is spending time with my precious grandchildren.  I also enjoy reading and my new hobby is "stamping."

What are some of your favorites:
Music
Praise & Worship Music (Casting Crowns, Third Day, Hillsong).  I have to admit I also enjoy Country music!

Movies
I am not a real movie person, so most of the time if I see a movie, it's with my grandson and it's usually a Disney movie.  One of the best movies we've seen together was Polar Express.

Books
Everything written by Karen Kingsbury that I have read; I also like Beverly Lewis.  The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren was a wonderful book and had a diverse impact on my life.

Food
Mexican but I also enjoy Italian!
